Office syndrome is mainly found in office workers which sit or remain in the same position for a long period of time, including sit in a wrong posture. These behaviors cause soreness or pain in the muscles or spine. This soreness or pain might not seem drastic at first but when it is left untreated, it can become serious.  

Office Syndrome can be prevented.

It is better to prevent the disease in the first place. Changing our behavior and office tools could reduce the risk of office syndrome.

  • Sit with a straight posture
  • Make sure to have back support cushion
  • Elbow – slightly more than 90 degree bend
  • Feet should be on the ground
  • Computer screen should be at the eyes level
  • Change your sitting position every 20 minutes
  • Get up, walk and stretch the muscle in your legs, arms, wrists and hands every hour
